Troye Sivan

Troye Sivan Mellet, known as Troye Sivan, is a South African-born Australian singer, songwriter, and actor, born in Johannesburg in 1995 and raised in Perth. He gained an early following on YouTube, where in 2013 he publicly came out as gay in a widely shared video, and went on to sign with EMI Australia. His EPs TRXYE and Wild and albums Blue Neighbourhood, Bloom, and Something to Give Each Other established him as a major pop artist whose music openly centers gay love, desire, and intimacy. He has also acted, including a supporting role in the film Boy Erased. Sivan is one of the most visible openly gay figures in contemporary pop, and his work and public presence have made him a role model for LGBTQ+ young people around the world.
