Aceflux
Aceflux describes someone whose experience of sexual attraction fluctuates over time while generally staying on or near the asexual end of the spectrum.
Aceflux is an identity on the asexual (ace) spectrum for people whose level of sexual attraction shifts over time. Someone who is aceflux might feel no sexual attraction for a stretch, then a little, then none again, moving between points on the ace spectrum rather than settling in one place. The "flux" points to that fluidity, and the anchor stays close to asexuality, which sets it apart from simply being allosexual. The term grew out of online ace and aromantic communities that developed finer language for how attraction can vary. It is closely paired with aroflux, which describes the same kind of fluctuation in romantic attraction. People use aceflux as self-description; only the individual can say the label fits.
