Androgynous
Androgynous describes a presentation, appearance, or identity that blends masculine and feminine qualities or resists being read as clearly one or the other.
Androgynous describes a look, presentation, or identity that mixes masculine and feminine qualities, or that sits somewhere in between the two. As an adjective, it can apply to clothing, hairstyle, voice, or overall vibe, and some people also use it to name their own gender expression. Androgyny has a long history in queer culture, fashion, and performance, from David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust to contemporary non-binary style. Being androgynous is about how someone looks or presents, so it does not tell you their gender identity or their sexual orientation. A person of any gender can present androgynously, and doing so may be an everyday choice or a deeper expression of self.
