Girlfag

Girlfag is a self-identity term used by some women and assigned-female-at-birth people who feel a strong affinity with gay men and gay male culture or sexuality. Some describe the feeling as being, in some sense, a gay man in a female body, while others simply feel drawn to queer male relationships and community. Its counterpart is guydyke. The term emerged from online communities in the 2000s and remains niche and self-applied, so definitions vary from person to person. It is distinct from being an ally or a friend of gay men. Because usage is inconsistent and personal, it is best understood through how each individual defines it for themselves.
