Monosexual

Monosexual is a neutral descriptor for people whose attraction is directed at a single gender. It covers straight people as well as gay and lesbian people, and it is usually used in contrast with bisexual, pansexual, or other plurisexual identities. The term appears most often in academic writing and bisexual advocacy, where it helps name the shared assumption behind bisexual erasure: that everyone must ultimately be attracted to just one gender.
