New Progress Pride Flag
The intersex-inclusive Progress Pride flag is a 2021 update to the Progress Pride flag that adds a purple circle on a yellow field to represent intersex people.
The intersex-inclusive Progress Pride flag, sometimes called the new Progress Pride flag, is a 2021 update by Valentino Vecchietti of Intersex Equality Rights UK. It builds on Daniel Quasar's 2018 Progress Pride flag, which added a chevron of white, pink, and blue for transgender people (from Monica Helms' 1999 flag) and brown and black for queer people of color (from the 2017 Philadelphia flag) to the traditional rainbow. Vecchietti incorporated the yellow field and purple circle of Morgan Carpenter's 2013 intersex flag, so the design now represents intersex people too. It has become one of the most widely used inclusive pride flags and is held in collections including the Smithsonian's Cooper Hewitt.
