Objective Sexual

Objectum sexuality (often written objectùm-sexual, shortened to OS) and its clinical cousin objectophilia describe romantic or sexual attraction focused on particular inanimate objects or structures, such as a building, a bridge, or a machine. People who identify this way frequently describe deep, committed love for the object of their affection, and many report a sense of reciprocity rooted in animism, the belief that objects have feelings or a spirit. Some see their objects as having a gender. Researchers who have studied the community, including Amy Marsh, argue it functions much like other sexual orientations, and it is not a diagnosable disorder in the DSM-5. It differs from a fetish, which centers physical arousal rather than emotional bond.
