T-Girl

T-girl is shorthand for a transgender girl or woman, formed the same way "t-boy" is short for trans boy. Some trans people use it casually and affectionately about themselves, while others dislike it because it has been heavily used in adult entertainment and fetish contexts in ways that reduce trans women to a category. Whether it reads as friendly or objectifying depends largely on who is using it and where. As with most identity language, the safest approach is to use the words a person chooses for themselves rather than assuming this one fits.
