T-Boy / T-Guy
T-boy and T-guy are informal, affectionate terms used within trans communities for transgender boys and men, especially transmasculine people.
T-boy and T-guy are casual, affectionate terms used within transgender communities to refer to transgender boys and men, often those early in transition or with a youthful masculine presentation. Usually self-applied, they carry a sense of belonging and solidarity in transmasculine spaces. They sit alongside terms like trans man and the older FTM (female-to-male), and near the broader umbrella of transmasculine, which covers anyone assigned female at birth who leans masculine, including some nonbinary people. Because these are in-community nicknames rather than formal labels, they are best used by trans people about themselves or when someone has made clear they welcome the term.
