Trans Man

A trans man is someone who was assigned female at birth but identifies and lives as a man.

A trans man is a person who was assigned female at birth and whose gender identity is that of a man. Some trans men pursue steps to align their life and body with their identity, which can include social transition such as a new name and pronouns, hormone therapy with testosterone, and surgeries like chest masculinization (top surgery) or genital surgery. None of these steps are required to be a trans man, and being trans is about identity rather than any specific medical path. Trans men are men, and their identities deserve the same recognition as those of cisgender men. GLAAD advises using transgender as an adjective, so trans man or transgender man, never as a noun.
