Cisbian is an informal blend of "cis" and "lesbian," describing a lesbian who is cisgender, meaning her gender identity matches the sex she was assigned at birth. The word appears mainly in spaces that want to name the distinction between cisgender and transgender lesbians, often so a speaker can specify her own experience without implying that trans lesbians are any less lesbian. It works best as a self-description rather than a label placed on others.
