Intersex-Inclusive Pride Flag

The Intersex-Inclusive Pride Flag was designed in 2021 by British intersex activist Valentino Vecchietti to add intersex representation to the Progress Pride Flag. It builds on Daniel Quasar's 2018 Progress design, which itself added the transgender flag's pink, white, and blue stripes and the black and brown stripes honoring queer people of color first seen in Philadelphia in 2017. Vecchietti's version incorporates a yellow field and purple circle, elements of Morgan Carpenter's 2013 intersex flag, to symbolize intersex inclusion. The result represents diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, and sex characteristics in one flag. It has been widely adopted, appearing at the Smithsonian and raised by heads of state, and is now one of the most recognized Pride flags in use.
