She / Her / Hers

She/her/hers are feminine third-person pronouns used to refer to a person. They are used by most women, including transgender women, and by some nonbinary people who feel these pronouns fit them. Pronouns are a way people signal how they want to be referred to, and they are not always predictable from someone's name or appearance. In LGBTQ+ affirming spaces, sharing your own pronouns and asking others for theirs has become common practice so that everyone is addressed in line with their gender identity. Using the wrong pronouns for someone on purpose, especially after being corrected, is a form of misgendering and is considered disrespectful. When unsure, it is fine to simply ask.
